First creation, C&C

Tonight I downloaded "Paint.NET", which is apparantley similar to Photoshop, but free. I won't be getting Photoshop until my birthday in April, but wanted to test out playing with images, and textures.

I took an out-the-car-window snapshot from driving in Napa, and converted it... quite a bit.

hmmm, I like the grittyness, but i don't like the blown out clouds.

actually it is quite nice and reminds me of those old movies where the martians attack a peaceful countryside ...

the blown out sky in the centre is a bit annoying, but composition appears balanced.
