First day of Photography

^I don't necessarily agree with that, a photo can have almost none of that and still be a good photo.

then it would be a blank page? every photo tells a story,

who is the picture of

what is happening in the picture

when is it taking place

where is it.

why is it happening

These can be applied to any photo.

OK, tell my photos story. Answer all 5W's

A blank page tells a story too, doesn't it.

With an apology to the OP for the derailment.

who- orange meaning sunshine, joy and the tropics

what- lines are curving, straight and slanted, also different widths and lengths

when- shadows represent darkness, so dusk.

where- asian influence, from the curvy lines and the color/wood.

why- architectural design

btw, the white lines in the image are distracting, and im not wasting my time on another photo so dont bother posting it.

orange could also convey sunglight, happyness, brightness or.. the fact that whatever he was shooting was orange.

shadows represent darkness?? last i checked shadows meant their was light........

architecteral design is more a what than a why

also, there are no white lines? and that's a great shot by the way!

I'm sorry, there just doesn't always have to be the 5Ws

Those are the moods that orange is percieved with

oh. so he just wanted to take a picture because, it was orange, how artistic.
Colors change people's moods/convey their moods at that point in time.

shadows represent darkness and light, it is interpreted by the viewer,

it is used in a contrast of the brightness of the orange, so yes, darkness

yes there is 5w's in every picture, in my opinion, and architectural design is a why, not a what.

Also, there seems to be a white fence behind the orange cloth or whatever it is, and it is visible.

I don't agree with you, and I never will, so stop trying.

Ok, so you listed a bunch of descriptives, now what exactly is the story in that image?

:hugs:

I wonder if a Mod can seperate this into a new thread?
It is an interesting and challenging discussion in and of itself.

Seconded. It's also nice to see that I'm not crazy and other people feel the same way.

I have no problem with the discussion, but I have a problem when people think their opinions are facts.
