First Ever HDR!

keep working on your exposures and technique.

the halos are a serious issue .

how many exposures did you use?

Keep on trying take your time processing your images if you have an idea of what HDR images should look like well within the range because they do vary, play with image control sliders and when your image looks better and you are satistfied then post it. But seeing this image as your attempt makes me question how much time did you really take or did you just brush through your image control options and ran to post.

thanks for the feedback, i believe i used 4, this was a while back.

i really thought i had it done perfect, shows i have alot to learn, thanks guys!

Whats perfect? If you like it thats all that counts. HDR postings range from not noticeable to cartoony. And I like most of them. But the problems with your post here is from poor tone mapping and not from the HDR.

I agree with the others but would add one more thing: pure blue sky makes HDR very difficult. You will nearly always get halos and a dirty looking sky. I try to minimize the amount of sky in the shot as much as possible anytime there aren't clouds in the sky.
