First macro ever

This is the first macro I ever took. It was... 1 month ago I think.

Man, I wish i could get my macro to turn out that nicely. I think i'm starting to see the advantage of a macro lens as opposed to my close up filters (which are used and dirty and impossible to focus)
 
sorry for taking forever to respond, but yes there is a shadow in front of the coin :lol: What happened was that I set it up in my makeshift studio (2 pieces of white paper :D ) and I had two lights set up on the left side but my living room light accidentally cast the shadow on the front.

Very nicely done, both shots are super! I like the fact that on the first one you can still see the fingerprints.
 
For a first ever attempt, I think this is excellent. I hate to think what your other shots will be like... :D
