First macro shots, C+C please

Took some of my first macro shots and would like some C+C. Found a few DIY lighting setups online to get me started so I used some bubble wrap to act as a diffuser with the pop up flash on my D90. Worked well to capture the detail for handheld shots.

#1 - Had a hard time getting good DOF on this one because the flower has quite a bit of depth. Not sure how I could improve this.

#2 - You can see the reflection of the bubble wrap diffuser a bit in this one.

#1 Would suggest getting the anthers from the side! Then you don't have to worry about DOF as much. Here the anthers are hard to pick out well with the background flower being busy.

#2 I don't really like those eye shots. Can see the bubble wrap and event the lens in the reflection - that's a bit distracting. Looks like the start of a stye at top-right of lid.
