Here is a shot from Central park, Strawberry fields. Everyone has done this, but i just got photoshop and thought i'd try at the color splash.
Turned out pretty cool, i'm happy with the results and wanted to show it.

Whats a good resource to learning photoshop and its components? I was going to get a photoshop for dummies book later today, and i've been checking out tutorials on youtube.

Which version of Photoshop do you have?

A consumer version like Photoshop Elements 5/6/7/8 or one of the full pro versions like CS2/CS3/CS4

If you have Elements www.elementsvillage.com is a good forum to belong to and another great source of photoshop information is the web site for the National Association of Photoshop Professionals (NAPP) www.photoshopuser.com.

so I couldn't wait... after I posted this I went to barnes and nobles and ended up getting "Adobe Photoshop CS4 one-on-one" by Deke McClelland. Looks better than the dummies version and well laid out. Any thoughts on that? I saved my receipt just incase!

As for the version, I bucked up spoiled myself for getting good grades (just went back to school) and got the CS4 Master Collection with the free upgrade to CS5 come summer.

Very excited to officially have some quality gear to play with. Still have my D60, but there is plenty to learn on that and some cool lenses to play with before I go bigger on a camera body.

Thanks for feedback folks.
