First pictures from newbie

I like them pretty well... The only thing I'd really change is to apply the rule of thirds to #'s 2, 3, 6 and maybe 7..just try moving the main subject off to the side a bit, or around halfway between the center and one of the corners of the frame. You'll be amazed at the difference it makes. This is coming from a total amateur, so take it for what it's worth.

I'll leave any of the really detailed stuff to the pros...

A complety agree with the rule of thirds on this one. It would really make good photos great photos. Good leading lines using the bridge to pull you into the covered bridge pic.
