Hey,

today I tried my first portrait-shot on a friend...

I think it turned out pretty nice...

I'd like to hear C&C from all the portrait-pros out here :sexywink:

Thanks for looking

Yeah, what Mike said.

But other than that, this is really pretty good for a first try. I like it!

Yeah, thanks! totally concentrated on the focus, color etc. forgot about'em...
HANDS! are important I see ;)

what do you think about the focus, color, the wall etc?

thanks

Good first try. Lighting is decent. You know about the cropping of hands.
Try moving a little to the left and include a bit more of the wall in front and shoot down the wall behind the sbject(with a fairly shallow depth of field) to show depth in your shot.

Agree. Except for the hands problem, lighting, exposure, focus, and color are all good. Heip has a good point, move a little more to your left to show more shallow depth of field with the wall.

You kept your ISO low, and your shutter speed and aperture are good. The wall is a good background because its non-distracting.

You are on your way. Nice job. :)
