Hi my names Rob and I am 17 years old.Since this is my first post on here I thought I would share the first picture I took with my new 50mm 1.8. Any CC is welcome It was just a quick shot of the gf.

Welcome to the forum Rob. Nicely captured; her eyes are sharp with nice catchlights. A couple of thoughts; perhaps a touch more DoF so that her lips were sharp too, and watch out for the reflections in her eyeglasses. You could use a circular polarizer to eliminate them, have her take them off, or perhaps just change your position a little. Still, all in all, a nice capture.

I love the sharps eyes, the blurry on the right kinda bothers me. But I guess its personal preference.

Im gettin a 50mm 1.8 in 2days...cant wait!
