First Time (Comfortable) Shooting People

I've done a couple birthdays and stuff, but today (well, technically yesterday) was my stepdad's birthday and it was a great day, giving me a chance to whip out the camera and be my family's official photographer...

#1 - Would *you* like to face him in poker?

#2 - I certainly wouldn't want to face him, though...

#3 - Some things have to be done...

You had some difficult light situations to cope with (and so did the persons, who surely all enjoyed the sun and warm weather but all had to wear sunglasses ) and I think you did really well.
Definitely and very much so more than just birthday snapshots. I think they will all like themselves in their photos. I really like the one of your stepdad being happy about his birthday present!!!
