Can others edit my Photos
Photos NOT OK to edit
Hi, I'm new to this site.

I currently own my first Sony A300. I will be traveling to Italy in about 3 weeks and I decided I wanted to get a wide angle lense for my camera since a lot of structures are huge over there. But also want something I can use for everyday use. Is ther a certain lens someone can recommend?

Most pics will be in outdoors

The Sigma 2.8 17mm to 50mm in a Sony mount has very fast autocus and provides about 27mm to 75mm focal lengths in 35mm terms on the Sony. You could go wider but in shooting churches and other buildings perspective distortion might be a major challenge.

Despite what some people think, leaning and bow shaped columns and flattened images are not appealing. The visual problems of very wide angle lenses can be reduced but it takes some experience, effort and sometimes post editing.

A wide angle prime, by the way, usually has less distortion than a wide angle zoom.
