First time shooting sports (Rugby)

My local team were playing this weekend and because I was unable to train/play due to a virus I decided to pop along and take a few photos of the game. We won 20-3 against a team a league above us. We were in the dark top and they were in the red coloured top. Some of these are light crops and some are heavy crops. Really enjoyed it as it helped that I play the game and know the players and their positions. Really wish I used one of my longer lens, but there is always next time!

Good timing on most of these ... but, (the big but), you gotta get closer and fill the frame for the greatest impact. Shooting wide open helps isolate the primary subject and fuzzy out some/most of the distractions/detail in the background.
