Fixing a bad posture?

What do you say to people with bad postures to help them straighten up for a photo? "shoulders back." "Straighten up" etc. just seems to make them look stiff.

Do you know any tricks to get a natural looking posture?

Have them stand at an angle to the camera... 25-30 degrees is usually good. But have them look at the camera... Put their weight on their back foot... Then stand up straight... this may work.

Having a table/object to put their arms on , makes the body more relaxed. And not as tense.

I tell them to "stand (or sit) tall" and demonstrate what I mean as I am saying it.

Bus Rider has it right. Weight on the back foot and a slight forward lean of the torso over the belt buckle, even if they don't have one.
