The article's first line says "about to release", it doesn't say that it is released.

The thing is that I more prefer looking at pics of places *I* have been rather than looking at maps and seeing pics of other people's work.

Thats a personal thing. I look at other poeple's work to learn how to better my own, not so much for the pleasure of seeing other places. Other people will have different criteria.
