I've been taking quite a few pics of this Great Blue Heron that's feeds near my work place and I have tons of the usual poses......so I made it a point to try to fill my card with flight shots and came out with some that I was satisfied with. I was quite surprised how patient he was with me even as I stalked him across a soccer field 
All images were shot in RAW, touched up in photoshop adjusting curves and using the channel mixer to liven up the colour, USM added where needed and cropped for composition.

I had hoped that the head was in focus here but when viewing it I saw that it wasn't. I still found it an interesting pose, something a little different.

This particular shot again isn't the sharpest, I think it was more due to hand shake, but I thought the wingspan was quite cool.
