Flood Gates

This gate is what used to be the gate for a 600 acre estate that had a 44 room mansion that belonged to James C. Flood one of the Bonanza Kings of the California gold rush era. The mansion was demolished in 1935 and the land was subdivided and now all that is left are these gates and a large fountain some other small artifacts. The gate still houses the community of a couple hundred homes that average in price around 3 million dollars. It amazing what was once one family wealth is now hundreds of families.
