Flowers at Daniel Stowe Botanical Garden

nice shot, I went up there a few months ago..but all the peak of the flowers and butterflies was already gone....will try again in the spring.

Thanks. It is odd how you can be so focused on one thing that you don't notice another. I never saw that path, and now I can't not see it...

with some careful cloning you might be able to disguise it.
or, which is sometimes easier and more fun, return and make another photo. :)

Actually only live about 30 minutes away so DSBG is my 'try out new equipment and techniques' spot. I have tried to fix a couple of ways. Cloning was quicking my behind around those petals. Let me know what you think. one of these or the original. (Or a do over is acceptable too.)

This is a different crop

This is an attempt to darken the path.

the cropped version ain't bad, the original is more balanced which pleases the eye more.
the one with the darkened path looks strange in the petal area.

a do-over is the way to go i think.
but you wanted to experiment with fill flash and, as i said, you succeeded with that. nice job.

Off-topic question ... you've obviously taken the photographs and now posted them online, but it's 2009. Why are you ©2010?

I am sorry now all I can see is that darn path... grrr I didn't notice it until I read it... :( but the flower is very pretty..
