Flowers "Orton Effect"

Here is the little tutorial my buddy sent me on how to do it. it's pretty simple and done in photoshop.

click on the menu "image" then "apply image"
in the pop-up that comes up make sure you're working with the right layer
Channel is RGB, Blending is "Screen" and your opacity is 100%
Click OK
Next you want to duplicate the image, or create a new layer of the same image: I just duplicate the layer CTRL + J will do this (I think)
When you duplicate the layer, you now want to use Gaussian Blur effect
>Filter>Blur>Gaussian Blur
in the pop-up you want to set the Radius (I'm told) no more than 50%
It's an adjustable setting, depending on the outcome.
The blur you want, though; you don't want to be able to recognize any detail in the image. Click OK when you're all set.
You're almost done; In the "Layers" pallet, change the "Normal" mode to "Multiply"
Voila; this is the Orton Effect
If it looks out of whack, try playing around with your Gaussian Blur until it looks best to you.

looks beautiful redskins. here is the web site that easy little effect came from. http://albumterrace.com/ i haven't browsed around it myself yet but my buddy said it's not working perfectly right now.

Oh alright, I'll be sure to try it out, I'm still learning all the features with my camera, let alone a DSLR, all I've owned was point and shoot cameras.
