Flowers--Up north

I just thought they were pretty. This was in Summer 2006.

#1 is quite lovely but it has a couple of things that hurt it.
First, there's a lot of excess space that only detracts from the impact of the flower. I would crop this to 4 x 5.
Second, the background is very similar in tone to the main subject. I would mask out the foreground flowers and darken the background to isolate them some.
Third, I would try and increase the brightness of the flowers without losing the detail in the smaller one just below the center.
