just a few pictures from around my house, tell me what you think.

The first one is focused on the while flower at the back. So at quick glance to me it is a blurry picture. The second shot is better focusing but not enough.

My advice is, please don't shoot this close. Flowers are pleasant in the eyes and have softening effect in the mind when they are whole - hanging on their branches. At least for me though.

Need to work on your composition. Both shots are out of focus. You can shoot part of a flower, but if the composition if off it won't look right. Keep practicing. What are you shooting with?

i need some practice with the settings, as i am just trying to figure them all out.

What focus mode are you using? I’m not sure of the XP focus modes/options. You need to use single point focusing; there are two options for this method. 1) Full manual 2) Set to center or to another focus point, focus & lock on the subject, compose shot
