Spike these are good flower shots. I would say the first picture has good comp, lighting and focus. The flower looks just a bit past it's peak, but it still looks good.
#2 is just a bit over saturated. That seems easy to do with red flowers. I would probably crop a little of the right side.

Flowers are nature... therefore I'll move this to the Nature and Landscape Forum, ok?
And you did very well on the red of the tulip in the first. I really like that one. And I like how you brought out the satin-like petals in that one!

Like Chris is saying: the other is a bit over-saturated, but particularly red flowers are very hard to get right.

Yes, I think the second one could be cropped a bit...but these are great shots! Flowers, particularily red tulips can prove difficult IMO.

i actually cranked up the saturation some, I'm a saturation junkie :p
