Focusing with Canon Powershot A520

I have tooken many pictures with this camera.. but for some reason, none of the pictures come out focus... Can anyone help me ? Do I need to use a tripod for day pictures to .. ??

Doesn't look out of focus to me. Rather, it looks like it's lacking sharpness and contrast (and maybe saturation).

You can probably change these settings in the camera's menus...or you can adjust them afterwards with any photo/image software.
