Nikon D1X; 24-120 VR lens; Manfrotto tripod; and a remote cable.

I had to set the ISO extremely high to get the shutter fast enough to catch the lighthouse beams. So there is a huge amount of noise. The photo you see is after massive noise reduction.

Whoa! I love that middle on of the bridge. Awesome!!! 8)

Edit: Whoa! Double post.

That last picture makes me think of a UFO landing.

These are great. Really makes me want to try some night photography.

Wow the second one is incredible and the third you can't even tell you ran it through the gammut of NR. Looks great love the tone. WB adjustment?

Those are great. The 1st and 2nd are awsome. The 3rd reminds me of Independance Day. I'm totally inspired now to get out more at night instead of just waiting around for full moons.

Thanks for all the wonderful comments!

These are virtually straight out of the camera. (save resized, and unsharp masked). Any coloring you see is from the lights and fog. Someone told me "high pressure sodium lights emit a yellow glow." so that's where the yellow toning comes from.

I shot these in RAW format and edited the white balance later. I changed most of them to "incandesent", since it is the closest to how they look normally.
