Just curious as to how many editted images you are giving a client from a say family portrait session with kids. I've been practicing to build up a portfolio and find that I could give tonnes but want to put a limit on it and was curious as to how others do it.

I was just having this problem. I shot a senior session yesterday. I don't want to give out too many proofs because my clients tend to get over whelmed by too many choices. People are not very good decision makers. They like you to decide.

for a senior session i wouldnt give the client more than 12 shot to choose from

for a modeling portfolio i try to process everything i think would work best and i give everything to the model.
