Forgotten - A Theme (56k run that way)

As some of you may or may not know, each week I challenge myself to fit my shooting under an umbrella theme. Two weeks ago it was 'signs', which I put up here...last week it was 'numbers', but I wasn't terribly satisfied with the results, so I didn't.

This week, it's 'Forgotten', and these shots kick off the week.

#1 - Discarded gum

#2 - Trash can looking over some children's playground playthings

#3 - Some empty benches

#4 - Starbucks left in front of a church

#5 - Garbage bags in an alley

#6 - An empty parking lot

#7 - Some pop cans

#8 - Bit of a story to this...well, not so much a story, as meaning I take in. There was a bunch of geese/ducks nearby (I'll post shots of them in a thread in the more animaly-naturey thread in a moment), and these footprints with some bits of the human landscape, in this case the wall, gave me a nice contrast of humanity forgetting nature, and nature forgetting humanity.

Very cool, all of your shots are really clear and sharp.
I especially like the two bright colors contrasting in the first one. :thumbup:
And I love this theme idea! Mind if I try it out? I'd love a challenge.

Very cool idea, and I like the things you did with it. My favs are 1, 2, 5 and 8. Good sense of perspective.
