Fort Worth Water Gardens

The Fort Worth Water Gardens are where I had my bridal pictures done, and also where all the seniors went after doing our practice graduation. You can walk all the way down to the middle of the the water in the first pic. Its usually covered with people.

A few years ago 3 children and their father died in there, so it had been closed down for quite a while. This is my first time to visit since.

In this one, its hard to see, but the walls are all a waterfall as well, so you are surrounded by the sounds of water and it blocks out the sound of the city surrounding it. It is very peaceful and quite here.

Nice shots. Looks like a nice place for weddings/engagements etc. I don't like the type coloring on the second one ,though.

What do you mean the effect? All I did was boost contrast and adjust curves...

The second one I boosted the colors a bit as well.

I went back to this location and took some night shots. My first time to play with slow exposures and water. Pics were taken between 8:30 - 9:15 pm.

Well, you can go down in the pyramid-like pool. In the 4th pic in my second post, you can see the steps. It is usually covered with people.

Yea, the little girl jumped in the middle, then 3 others died trying to save her. It says not to swim, but even the day I went for the night shots there were tons of people swimming. If those people knew what happened, I don't think they would have allowed little 2-3 yr olds to play and watch from a distance.

Oh, and on a more cheerful note, this is where Logan's Run was filmed in 1974 where they came to the surface of the world. I may not have that exactly correct, I haven't seen it, but my Dad said the gardens are famous from this movie.
