what are the little squar boxes in the info under someones avatar? I see some are black, or green but, what do they represent?

They are reputation points. If you want, you can give people positive or negative reputation for posts that you agree/disagree with by clicking on the little scale below those boxes.

it means you are the worst of the worst....there isn't anybody rated worse on the forum than you.......or it could mean that you've got your reputation disabled...one or the other.
