Well done for getting the snake, where is it, it looks like natrix mura at first sight but dont know the geography, It is exceptionally hard to get a nice shot of a water snake in the water, unless you are sittling in it with the leaches for hours trying desperatly not to get your kit wet (or bitten), so even if you are not completely happy with the shot it is great to see.
