Fujifilm: Price Hikes+Discontinuations

No, but hardly a surprise either, I should think.

As long as they still keep making their instant film, this doesn't affect me much. And given the success of their Instax products, it seems they have incentive to keep making that for a while.

I agree. I generally like Kodak films better, especially Portra, though I have recently become quite enamored with Agfa Vista, which is reportedly made by Fuji. It's different from their Fujicolor or Superia films, though. I find it's a nice balance between the warm Kodak colors and the cool Fuji colors.

I do quite love their instant emulsions.

Older Fujicolor and newer Superia stock was and still is used widely for store brands and rebrands like Agfa. The edge codes usually tell the tale and Agfa Vista is either the older Fujicolor or Superia. Fond of Superia 200 and 800, less so of 400. Dearly departed Reala was especially nice in terms of contrast and saturation. Current Portras are probably the best we'll get.
