Just joined the group here after lurking awhile. Some 34 years ago I was an avid Canon AE-1 shooter and enjoyed it very much. Then digital photography was born and my life was changing so I sold my gear and bought a Canon 1.2 gb camera for around $600......wow times sure have changed.
Some 10 days ago I bought a Nikon D7100 and now I'm back in the game, so to speak. Read the manual several times, watched over 10 hours of video while playing with the buttons, and been checking out the forums. Being an old AE-1 user, great camera back then, I'm familiar with A, S, and ISO, but digitally I have a lot to learn. The new acronyms catch me scratching my head now and then. Anyways, happy to be here and hopefully I can contribute in some way. I've been fighting a very bad late summer cold so I've only taken a few shots with the new camera but I'll post up a few images when I get home from work tonight.
