GBH Throw Down

The sun was close to setting and the light was very dim (my apologies for the dark images) but I managed to capture these two great blue herons fighting over territory. The one on the right was already there and established when the one on the left flew in and tried to bully him out with a challenge but he got his tail feathers handed to him. (so to speak)

Nice work! Love the back story here. Watching wildlife like this is so entertaining, isn't it? They can be such jerks to each other. :lol:

Someone help me to understand, I thought they were all on the dark side and not worthy of the nomination. Maybe I'm looking at it wrong?
