If you don't have Katrin Eismann's book Photoshop Restoration & Retouching, get it now.

first edition is for ps6, second edition is for ps7 & third edition is for cs and higher.

I can't possibly show you examples of everything in there but every page is worth a hundred dollars, no kidding.

here is a shot of a turtle at high noon before and after. It took about 10 seconds to fix this.

This doesn't do justice for the info in this book, it's just the first thing I pulled up.

I would consider this book more on the advanced side but that shouldn't stop you from getting it
