Getting prints made?

I was thinking of taking in some negatives to a local photo shop and getting some prints made, what I dont know is, do I take in just the negative of the picture that I want? or do I take the whole roll of negatives in and say 'I want that one.'?

The negatives are probably cut into strips of 4 or 5 already. Don't try to cut out the one negative you want printed, just take the strip or all the negs and ask for the frame number of the frame you want printed.

They would rather have a strip than a single neg, and may even have a single neg handling charge.
