going to yosemite

I'm an amateur guy, but love to take pictures and am learning more every day. I have a d5000 with 18-55 and 55-200 nikor lenses. The trip is costing me a fortune, so I cant spend too much for the lens, but I want to capture some landscape in the valley. What lens should i buy for under $400?

I think you're fine with what you have. I just got back form Yosemite last week I mainly just used my 17-55. If you're really want to buy a new lens I would recommend the 35mm 1.8 which would be good for landscape and it is also fast and light. I kind of regretted lugging around my big fat 17-55 through my hikes.

I spend a lot of time in Yosemite. You'll be fine with what you have right now. I'm the opposite of 'JbleezJ', I mainly use my 70-200 lens, but then again I'm using a full-frame Canon.
