very nice picture. but to be honest I'd crop almost half of the sky to make it panorama-look-alike. Because the light on the sea and waves and of course a fisherman are more interesting here than the empty sky. BTW, really interesting shot. Not like most of the sunsets were the only topic is the sun. Here there's something more good job

I love natural colour gradients, the 2nd one is defenitely better.

I really like how the fisherman's pole and the sun's rays are running at the same angle, I'm a bit of a geometry nut that way .

Very nice coloring and I believe the word that Cmilley was looking for was symetry, and indeed it has excellent symetry with the rod matching the rays and the peak in the back. Also the waves and the far landscape is coming in at about the same opposing angles. Nice work on the crop, vast improvement from the orginial.
