The Tamron 15-30 arrived. I'd really like to just find an affordable 10-stop filter for now. I found an article on making a DIY sponge filter holder which looked really cool & reliable (albeit a little weird).
Any links to any 150x150 ND10-stop filters that will fit a Tamron 15-30 that are less than the lowest I've found, which is $175 USD at B&H?
I'm looking at this: http://www.amazon.com/Haida-Neutral..._UL160_SR160,160_&refRID=1RQAY6MGHBJ0RA3VXCTB
I shot a sunset tonight, and I was at 1/30 of a second at f13 and ISO 100. With a 10-stop filter, that would take me to a 32-second exposure. I could play with my ISO a tiny bit to get faster speeds, or my aperture to get slower speeds. That seems like about the right filter to go with for now.
