Good program to import?

I have a Canon 40D and I'm trying to find a better way to pull my pictures from my camera. Right now, I'm using the EOS utility and it will put everything (RAW and JPG) in a folder by date. I want the RAW to be separated in another folder. I don't have PS or LR, is there a utility that will pull these pictures from the calendar in a way that I can customize?

PS and LR pretty much do what your asking for, are you ruling those out? Your question/statement is unclear.

Not completely, I might be able to get my hands on a copy soon. I was hoping Canon had something that I could use, so no matter what computer I was on, I would be able to accomplish this.

Use a card reader and do what you like with the files, importing from the camera is painful as far as I'm concerned. H

LR 3 is free as a beta until april 2010 at the mo. Its not 100% stable at the mo tho
