hahaha the wonders of small town mechanics. We had a leaf spring snap while on an expedition through the desert. A bit of creativity got us to the next small town (luckly we were at the edge of the desert). Took it to the first mechanic who did a reasonable job, and off we went to the next town after our overnight unscheduled stop.

On the way we noticed a clonking noise when we hit a bump and it was driving us nuts. The mechanic obviously fouled up something, so next village we went right to the next mechanic. He had a look under the car and comes out holding a torque wrench (probably belonging to the last mechanic) and says if he can keep it then that "repair" was free
