Can others edit my Photos
Photos NOT OK to edit
had a little fun with it. i am very happy with my decision to move from the nikon d40 to the xsi. i can tell a difference even though some say it is one in the same. to me it is not. C&C welcome...just some fun stuff from today:

edit: also can anyone recommend a nice affordable lens that would work well for portraits? Something that will stop down past 5.6

Well, the most affordable lens is the Canon 50mm f1.8. That one certainly stops down past 5.6 :D
Congratulations on your purchase.
Could it be that you and Alexandria are almost "one and the same" ... apart from the age difference? She seems to resemble you a lot!

Yes she is my 7 year old daughter :)

Nice shots, there are not really any "affordable" fast lenses for any camera except for the 50 mills and third party, but third party usually doesnt come close to the perfect that is a Canon or Nikon 2.8 lens. So, save some dough!

I bought an xsi about a month ago and have been loving it! I'd also recommend the 50mm 1.8 unless you have a bigger budget
