Granville Island is Vancouver's version of Seattle's Pike Place Market (it doesn't come close, but it's still awesome!) Being a city that hugs the coast, fish is a big thing.
In the city where I live, we have a fish market every morning where you can buy fresh crab, fish and shrimp that had been caught just hours before. It's quite a tourist attraction, but for the locals it's a great way to support the local economy and get great food at the same time!
This shot wasn't taken where I live, though, it was taken at one of the many seafood stores at Granville Island's Public Market.
