Great Blue Heron

I was down in the marsh this afternoon after a long absence (damn work!). I was shooting a green heron fishing when this big blue heron decided to check out what I was up to and sat down about 20' away to do some preening.

Later in the afternoon, as I was heading back to the car, I took this one. I like it, but it's not *quite* right.

Thanks guys! Snerd, these guys are urban herons, they're pretty conditioned to photographers. There are 6 or 7 big lenses in the marsh almost every day, and this guy has been staring at big glass since he hatched. LOL.

Hunter, yeah, I wish I hadn't clipped his tail. I was shooting the green heron and turned around to see him scratching, so just grabbed the shot I could, without changing my zoom.
