Or using Australian terminology a "bloody Shag", these birds are much maligned as voracious fish eaters not what you really want (in large numbers) around popular fishing spots. But a worthy subject for photography none the less. This one was fishing in a local trout stream when I surprised it.

"Bloody Shag" which leads me to the other expression "like a shag on a rock".
