I suspect the whole article is sarcastic and tongue in cheek. If it's not, then I was fooled. The point I got from it was, if you take terrible pictures, you can fake it by using extreme techniques and tricks, to divert attention from the fact that the pictures are less than mediocre. :lmao:

And if using these tricks, the pictures are still terrible!

It is pretty obvious the guy is having some fun. The sad part is that some noobies are going to take it seriously. If you know anything about photography, then it is rather amusing.

Just goes to show that anything published on the web, will have a few believers.

The only thing that seemed to kind of make sense was the B&W tip and the saturation tip. Sometimes changing a shot to B&W can have a different overall effect on the shot, and sometimes a greatly composed photo needs a little saturation.

Haha the cropping example though, I was like "what the hell is he thinking?", same with that horrible HDR shot too :lmao:

I think you all missed the two best parts. First is the link to the "Level 1 Measurebator" site: http://www.kenrockwell.com/tech/7.htm. The next one is the "Bokeh 'em" section... I can't imagine anywhere I've seen a better example of Bokeh.

I love it.... and so far I've only read the intro. I think Ken rockwell's levels of photographer are hilarious and so true it makes me cry.
