Great to be aboard!

Wanted to say thanks for letting me join and I can't believe it took me so long to find this photography based forum. I'm in quite a few photography brand specific forums. Well, to highlight a brief history of my photography career.

1978: received my first camera from my grandmother (Polaroid One-Step)
1986: Canon A-1
1992-2003: Took a long break from photography (just didn't have the time being in the Army)
2005-Present: got back into the hobby in a big way. Purchased over 10 digital cameras from my five of my favorite brands (Canon, Nikon, Pentax, Olympus, and Konica-Minolta/now Sony)

Currently more in the Canon stable with two DSLR's (50D and 7D). However, am eyeing the D800 or the soon to be released D600 (fingers crossed on this camera release). Also, really like the Canon 5D Mark III.

Bottom line, I'm not brand loyal. There are so many good camera companies out there, that it is a shame to limit yourself. Alas, so many great cameras I want, so little money.
