Early in the morning on the way to work:
Thanks for looking,
Bill, Very cool, wish I was there.
Nice finds! Friendly birds ... they stay when you come!!!
How come I would think herons have long necks ... and one of these does, and the other is so short? No long neck at all!?!? Raymond had photos up here on water fowl he called "herons" (and I believe him when he calls them that!) and they looked so un-heron-like, too. Now I am confused.
very nice pics!
very nice photos!!! i love them! i am curious as to how exactly you got to work on time...hmm?
Many birds have the capability of hiding their necks, i beleive that is all they are doing. look at birds when they sleep and when they are hunting, prime example. its just their position.
Awesome shots Bill!! I sure would love a chance to shoot these beauties!
Thanks guys, Your more than welcome to come down here someday.
AWESOME series!! Beautiful details in those shots.
Thanks Corinna, only two out of 5 or 6 like to be photographed here, or maybe they were too hungry to care about me.
Thanks Ganoderma, I stop there every morning to drink my coffey, Sometimes I think very hard about calling in late or just calling out.
Thanks for looking Antarctican, I'm glad you enjoyed them.
