Greetings from a TRUE NOVICE!

I have just bought my first digital Camera, and am excited about learning how to take good shots. I'm sure that I'm in way over my head, but that's okay with me.

I'm looking for any tips and tricks that I can use. Hopefully I will find a lot of good information on here as I learn...

I bought a Canon SX10is Camera and have been reading the users guide to find out what all the settings mean. If you have any good books to read or ideas about things that will help me, feel free to let me know.

Welcome to the forum... "understanding Exposure" by Brian Peterson (not quite sure on the author name) is a well recommended book here... I'd suggest that if you buy it get it through an online store, for its low price. In addition, take a trip to your local bookstore and browse other books there a lot of options out there... Good Luck!
