I have been taking pictures with my point and shoot camera for exactly three months now. Within this short time frame of owning my first camera, I have become passionate about photography and i'm instantly "hooked". I'm getting better everyday learning from my mistakes and I always have an open ear for constructive criticism.

Looking forward to learning with you all on my photography journey here on TPF :D

As of right now, i'm using a Nikon COOLPIX S6100. I'm thinking about getting a DSLR and using my P&S along side it.

Thanks for the welcome KenC. I'm not sure where to start posting pictures just yet as I don't want to look like i'm spamming the forum. But you could check out some of my work at - Home and let me know what you think.

I looked at the still-lifes and abstracts. You seem to have a good eye for this as far as composition goes. Technically, they are not bad; my main comment is that there are overexposed highlights in some of them and also large black areas with little or no detail. Some of this is that it takes a while to learn that the camera records a much smaller brightness range than your eye/brain. It would be worthwhile to learn about exposure histograms and how to read them, and also how to control exposure in processing software (to the extent you can - if no highlight detail was recorded, then there is nothing you can do).
