Greetings from rural Colorado

Hello everyone! My name is Theo (as my username points out!) and I live in the Colorado rockies. I've been browsing this site for some time and have finally decided to make an account and begin contributing. I shoot mostly Nikon (D40 digital and N90/Fm10 film) but I've recently purchased a Canon T3 as a precursor to my upgrade to full frame digital (it's hard being a college student and justifying $1500+ purchases!). I hope to participate in some photo contests, and to learn and contribute the best I can!

I'm wondering why you are now shooting with both Canon & Nikon, and why are you switching? Switching brands or shooting with multiple brands, is one of the most expensive undertakings in photography....and you mentioned that you're a student (on a budget).
