I am in my mid-50's and have been interested in photography all my life. I have gone through cycles of taking more pictures and less. I did a little bit of b/w darkroom work.

I bought a Canon PowerShot G10 a little over a year ago and have taken a lot of pictures since and have posted many on Picasa. I have learned to edit what I post and not just put everything out there. I have taken a few classes, but am mostly self taught.

Just this week I am launching a home and business photo inventory business. Through B&H I did a lot of research on line and purchased some nice equipment to basically have a very portable studio available for the shoots.

My main concern now is my in-ability to consistently focus up close (2" - 6") and have posted elsewhere here about that.

This might be a bad question but have you turned on the Macro function of your G10?
