Hassie users?

I've been searching Ebay for a Hassie and allmost ready for one. But I'm wondering about pricing and what you guys think is good. Is something like this a good investment. Excellent condition. Two film backs. Is that the price I'm looking for on something like that?

I wouldn't get that one for a few reasons.

1) You can't see the camera in person
2) It's in taiwan
3) I saw a used hassy in person with same lens for 700 canadian recently

But if you're not willing to wait, it might be good.

it's def. a good price, all seems to be fine, even a B+W filter. the Taiwan question is hard but I think that not all sellers from foreign countries are thiefs and stuff.

It would be a little uncomfortable with the seller small sales history. Also none of the previous sales are of camera equipment. I have bought for first time sellers but they where both pro photographers.

It seems good to me. Though, what I've seen on Ebay, the 500cm with a 80mm CF lens and A12 back usually goes for no more than $1,000. I'd say $800-900 usually.

You really might want to consider saving up for the 503CW. In case you want to add a TTL metered flash later on.

Also, for the same price you are planning on spending, I'd even consider the Mamiya RZ67 or RB67 cameras. I honestly think the glass on those cameras (well, the modern lenses) are just as good as the Zeiss lenses on the Hassie. Not as portable though.
